Recording Rig

Here is my recording rig: Hughes & Kettner Triamp for everything, Gibson Goldtone GA30RVH for cleans, Laney GH50L voor leads, Cornford Roadhouse30 for leads and rhythm guitars, Marshall DSL1H for rhythm guitars. Cabs: Marshall 1966 (only miking a Weber British) Hughes Kettner 1x12 with Celestion vintage30, Hughes Kettner 4x12 with Celestion Greenbacks, homebuilt 2x12 cab only miking the Celestion G12H30 speaker..
Mics will go through a vintage TC Electronic preamp and parametric equalizer to add some frequencies when necessary.

That will have to do it.

Pedal Board

Pedal board for small gigs, designed with portability and tone control using existing random backlines in mind.

Hardwire HT5 polyphonic tuner to Hughes & Kettner Tubeman II tube preamp, to Visual Sound H2O analog delay and liquid chorus and Source Audio Hot Hand programmable Phaser\Flanger. That is all I need. 

Soloing on my Charvel

PRS Custom 24

Paul Reed Smith Custom 24, nog met een elementschakelaar in de vorm van een toonknop. Dat is wel lastig, voor het overige perfecte gitaar! Je kunt er Gibson-achtige klanken uit halen maar ook als een Stratocaster of Telecaster klinken, en de afwerking nadert perfectie.

Last summer in Berchtesgaden playing my Gibson SG, which I purchased at Thomann a few days before this picture was taken.

Sustain Blocks

Pictured are the stock sustainblock on the Edge Pro7 tremolo of my Ibanez RG2077XL, and a brass replacement by Fu-Tone.com. Since the stock sustainblock has worn screwholes, I cannot use it anymore. The brass replacement is quite a bit heavier than the stock sustainblock. Right now the replacement has already been done. The difference in sound is subtle but noticeable

KingsVision at work

This is one of the rare occasions on which I played my Gibson Les Paul.. I rather enjoyed it. It works well with this band. Still, a Les Paul remains a lumpy block of wood in a clumsy design and overdone pickups with a fat sound, if you ask me..

Ibanez RG2077DX defect

Mijn Ibanez RG2077DX ligt er onbeholpen bij. Er zit een Edge Pro7 tremolo op, maar het sustainblock is lam, dat wil zeggen dat de schroeven hem niet meer aan de baseplate van de tremolo vasthouden, hij schiet telkens naar voren. Goede gelegenheid om de sustain en klank van de gitaar te verbeteren door een brass aftermarket sustainblock te installeren, maar die zijn, tot mijn zeer grote verbazing, nergens te vinden. Een heel nieuwe tremolo is een oplossing maar die zijn 265 euro, en deze is nog helemaal als nieuw, afgezien van het doorgedraaide schroefdraad in het blok. Tot er een oplossing kom ligt hij er dus maar zo bij.. zonde, het is een heel goede gitaar. En ik heb nooit problemen gehad met Ibanez Floyd Roses.
